Where does it live? Habitats and adaptations
A habitat is the place where an organism lives, such as a pond, a desert, the high Himalaya or a forest. Each habitat has its own challenges: too little water, bitter cold, or the need to swim, climb or hide. An adaptation is a feature of an organism's body or behaviour that helps it survive there. Nepal has many habitats, from the hot Terai forests and rivers to the cold, snowy mountains, so it has a great variety of adapted plants and animals.
